Mrs. Julissa Dupont Guerra is a 32 year veteran teacher of  Miami Dade Public Schools.  She graduated from Florida International University in 1988 and began teaching in Edison Park Elementary. A year later she was hired at Charles R. Hadley Elementary. Charles R. Hadley has been her home for over 31 years.

She taught first grade for over twenty years and is presently teaching second grade.  During her time in Charles R. Hadley she has chaired the Social Committee, has represented her grade level in the ESSAC, was a writer for the Stirling Award, and was the Teacher of the Year in 2019.  She has participated in the Hispanic Heritage Committee, Multicultural Committee, Hadley Gives Back, and many more. She is an active participant in school fundraising for the St. Jude and the Autism.

She has taught many groups of students including ESOL self- contained and ESE inclusion class.  She is passionate about her students and their success.  She believes that every student should have a voice and it is her job to have them be heard.
